Implementing the activities of the international Erasmus + strategic partnerships project “Think Inside the Box! A methodological STEAM toolkit for schools ”(No. 2020-1-LT01-KA201-077987)  the team of Panevezys robotics center (PRC) ,,RoboLabas“  held 3 events for 5-12 grade students during the period of September – October 2021. The focus of these events was to help students to put the theoretical knowledge they have into practice in order to create a creative project “In a Box!”. This was reached while designing and creating various possible ways for a ball to roll in a labyrinth taking as long time as possible. During these activities students learned to apply the laws of physics, as well as to get acquainted with 3D modeling in SolidWorks and micro: bit programming, principles and application of Design Thinking.

Students of Panevėžys Minties Gymnasium, Panevėžys Basic School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and Panevėžys M. Rimkevičaitė Vocational Training Center participated in the events, a total of 61 students participated in these activities. PRC RoboLabas creative team introduced the activities and introduced the students to the theoretical and practical part where the attendees had a chance to develop their STEAM skills and have great Design Thinking moments while working in teams.

The project members for RoboLabas analyzed the students’ achievements and feedback during the sessions. Several changes were made and introduced to the other project partners from Estonia and Romania. The overall evaluation of the students’ and teachers’ feedback states that the material is interesting to work with, it’s clear and informative, and the practical application helps to understand the laws of Physics and Mathematics more easily. The project team is happy to help students to develop their STEAM competencies and critical thinking.
