On May 25-26, 2022, an international meeting of “Think Inside The Box! A methodological STEAM toolkit for schools” project meeting tool place. It was attended by project partners from Lithuania: Robotics School, VGTU Engineering Lyceum, STEAM Panevėžys as well as partners Kuressaare Nooruse Kool from Estonia and Colegiul Tehnic Gheorghe Asachi from Romania. The organizations were represented by 12 project team members: coordinators, intellectual product developers and teachers.
This is the last “live” meeting of the project that ends on September 30, focused not only on the review of the previous phase, but also on the discussion and detailed planning of the last project activities.
Project partners are successfully carrying out project activities in all three countries. Teachers and students enthusiastically take on the challenge of the box, refine the designs of the box and surprise with their ideas. Only in Lithuania, “Create an idea in a box!” activities involved more than 400 students!
During the meeting:
1. Each partner presented the news for their part: teacher training and external testing, the most interesting experiences and the achievements of teachers and students.
2. We reviewed the survey data of teachers and students, provided a deadline for the collection of survey data and the structure of the data analysis and summary report.
3. Divided into work groups, we have compiled a list of necessary and possible aspects for improving the methodology.
4. We have approved the final structure of the methodological guidelines and requirements for the individual parts of the content.
5. We discussed project management, budget use and dissemination issues.
6. We got acquainted with the activities of Panevėžys STEAM center and RoboLabas.
In the last phase of the project, we will jointly develop the content of the methodological guidelines, improve the training material and disseminate the project. Even after the end of the testing period, there will be many more box challenges both in Lithuania and in other countries.
